Coral Example Bet
If you’re not completely sure how the Coral offer works, we have put together an example of how to get it done. Have a read through and if you’re still not sure feel free to contact us.
Finding My Qualifying bet
I will use the Pure Profit Oddsmatcher to find a close match between the Coral back odds and the exchange lay odds, the back odds need to be above 1.5 (1/2). First of all I will click the drop down menu on the left hand side and select “Coral” from the list of available bookmakers, the Pure Profit Oddsmatcher will now only display Coral bets. I now need to type 1.5 in the empty box at the top of the “Back” column and then select “Greater Than or Equal To” in the list of available options in the options box to the right of it. The Oddsmatcher will now only show me matches of 1.5 or above. I can now see a list of bets that meet the qualifying conditions so I need to pick one to use for my qualifying bet. I can see that that “Santos” in “Santos v Figueirense” game gives me a great match of 99.15 at just above the minimum odds, this is a perfect match for my qualifying qualifying bet.

Santos v Figueirense is a fantastic match at 99.15 for a qualifying bet!

Working Out My Qualifier Lay Stakes
Now I have found a selection I am happy with, I use the Pure Profit Calculator to work out my lay stake and liability.
- Select “Normal” at the top.
- The bookmaker stake is £5.
- Enter the Coral back odds.
- Enter the exchange lay odds.
- Enter the lay commission.
- Press enter on your keypad.
The Calculator now shows me my lay stake and liability. It recommends I lay £5.22 which means my Liability should be £3.39(Liability is the amount I will need to deposit into Betfair to cover the bet). The calculator also shows me my overall position depending on where my winning bet lands. I stand to lose -£0.04 no matter whether my Coral or Betfair (Exchange) Lay bet wins, however this is an acceptable loss considering I will have a Free £20 Bet once it settles.

Start typing your bet and it will automatically show you the event details.
Placing My Qualifying Back & Lay Bets
Now I have found a bet I am happy with and worked out the lay details using the Pure Profit Calculator, I need to Back and Lay the bets on Coral & Betfair respectively. I head over to the Coral site and locate “Santos” in the “Santos v Figuirense” game on the 11/7/15 at 22:30 and place my £5 back bet followed immediately by my Betfair Lay bet.
Betfair have a great search function that makes it easy to locate our lay bet on their website. All I need to do is to start typing the name of the bet in the search bar at the top of the page and it should automatically show me the event details, clicking on them will take me to a page with all the different bets available for that particular event.

Back bets shown in Blue & Lay bets shown in Pink
The Back bets are displayed on the left in blue and the Lay bets are displayed on the right in pink. Since I’m here to bet against “Santos” I need to LAY my bet, but first I must check that the odds are the same as those displayed by the Pure Profit Oddsmatcher. I can see that the odds haven’t changed and are still 1.65 to LAY Santos, I can also see that there is enough Liquidity in the market by the amount shown underneath the odds. I only need to Lay £5.22 and there is £43 liability at the odds I need so I will have no problem getting my bet matched. I now need to lay my bet by selecting 1.65 in the lay column and entering my amount followed my confirm. Coral will credit me £20 free bet immediately after you have placed your qualifying bet.
Using My Free Bet
No I have been credited with my free £20 by Coral, I need to find something to use it on. I will use the same method I used to find my qualifying bet, only now I need to search for odds above 4.0 (3/1) to maximise my profit from the free bet. If I was working with a smaller bank I could look for odds a little shorter, somewhere in the region of 3.0 (2/1) would reduced the liability I would need in Betfair.
The Pure Profit Oddsmatcher has found me a good match on a Horse Race. “Bold Appeal” in the 20:00 at Sailsbury has a rating 97.66, with odds of 5.5 to back and 5.4 to lay.

I’m going for “Bold Appeal” in the 20:00 at Sailsbury for my Free £20 Bet
